What's Your Line?
(A drama about understanding Christianity)

Director's Notes: Our local church rock group asked for a couple of dramas for an upcoming concert. They knew there were going to be lots of different types of kids there - some who liked classic rock, some pop, some Goth. So I wrote this knowing that no matter how different we are, unless you have the Holy Spirit in your life, you will never understand Biblical truths...

The key to this drama is using the PowerPoint presentation that is available HERE. (right click on it and select "Save Target As...") You should trigger each new slide when each person speaks. I've put these in parenthesis for your convenience. Be sure to have a long enough gap between each line so the person running PowerPoint can keep up.

Cast:
John: A non-Christian who like modern rock.
Greg: A non-Christian who likes goth rock.

Props:
2 chairs (about 4 feet apart facing the audience)
PowerPoint presentation

Setting:
A concert

(LIGHTS UP CENTER STAGE) (John and Greg are sitting in the audience at a concert, clapping at the end of a set.)

John: Hey. (Hey)

Greg: Hey. (Hey)

John: How you doin? (Not that I really care)

Greg: Okay. (like you care)

Greg: How you doin? (yawn)

John: Okay. (Whatever)

John: What do you think of the concert? (man, he’s dressed pretty weird)

Greg: It’s pretty cool (Hope he doesn’t want to hug me)

Greg: You? (Did his mom buy him those clothes?)

John: Yeah, pretty cool. (I wish they’d play "Freebird")

John: I pretty much like any kind of rock. (Backstreet Boys, ‘N sync, Brittney Spears)

Greg: Yeah, me too. (Prodigy, Nine Inch Nails, Black Sabbath)

Greg: Yeah, the music’s pretty good (Where’s the mosh pit?)

John: Yeah, I agree (Where’s the drum solo?)

John: I didn't know churches did this kind of stuff. (I hope they don't bring out the snakes!)

Greg: Yeah, me either. (Bring out the snakes!)

Greg: You understand about this whole Christianity thing they’re singing about? (Do you understand this stuff?)

John: Yeah, I guess. (I have no idea)

Greg: Yeah, me too. (I have no idea)
